Youth Ministry

Welcome to Youth In Ministry at NPC!
Our mission is to create opportunities for youth to gather where they can experience a welcoming, Christ-centered environment with caring adults and ministers who encourage them to have fun, express themselves, and explore their relationship with God and one another as part of Newtown Presbyterian Church’s faithful community. Through worship, education, fellowship, and mission we strive to live out NPC’s mission to “be a family of God, supporting one another in developing a community of faith in Jesus Christ and seeking to minister to our congregation, our community and the world.” We hope our youth will feel empowered and excited to share what they experience through NPC remembering Christ’s commandment to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 22:37-49.

Youth Group Gatherings

Please email Pastor Laura (laura@newtownpres.org) to be added to our monthly email list which provides information on upcoming events and activities!

All youth (7th-12th grade) will gather for fellowship, conversation, mission opportunities, or other special events throughout the month. We meet most often on Sunday evenings at 5:45pm in Ettenger Hall following the youth bell rehearsals. Sometimes we will watch a movie together and talk about it or we'll play some group games. Other times we go off site to volunteer with organizations nearby or enjoy a night of bowling or laser tag. For a list of upcoming events, please contact Pastor Laura to be added to our group email list (laura@newtownpres.org).

Pastor Laura and our Christian Education committee organize events and activities that aim to engage our youth in meaningful and fun experiences which help them to bridge their everyday lives and situations with their faith and relationship with God!

Youth Mission

Each year our Jr. High and Sr. High youth take part in a mission trip experience to see how God is at work in the world and in one another, actively living out Christ's commandment to love God and to love our neighbors.
See below for available info and registration forms if you'd like to join us this summer!
